TORN

I grew up in the Caribbean. A world of sun, white beaches, aqua marine water, palmtrees and pina colada's. Oh and beautiful women, scantily clad in pretty bikini's. I now live in Amsterdam, which is a great city, but I often feel torn between two worlds. Do you know that feeling?

The world's a piece of art", that's how Jan Paul Heijmans, Marketing and Multimedia graduate, perceives it. He grew up on St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles, studied in the Netherlands and lived in Barcelona for a year. He now lives in Amsterdam and travels around the world with his camera. His art is based on photo illustration, often bringing together different worlds.
